The nearby 49 Degrees North Ski Area is one of the nation's best-kept secrets. It has two peaks, seven lifts, 25 feet/7.62 meters of average annual snowfall over 82 mostly north-facing trails that offer 1,850 feet/564 meters of vertical drop over 2,325 acres.
